Marion-East CR Rotary Club

Charities, including;

                

“The Shoes for Kids Initiative”

 

 

What is the benefit for-To raise money and awareness for the Marion-East Cedar Rapids Rotary Club and its charities including the “Shoes for Kids” Initiative and to help the mission of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation to cure Juvenile Diabetes.

How is the money being raised-

 

• Hawkeye Downs is donating $ 1.00 for every paid admission to the track.

 

• Hy-Vee Catering is donating $ 1.00 for every bratwurst sold.

 

• Papa Johns Pizza is donating $ 1.00 for every slice of pizza sold.

 

• Drivers will be going through the grandstands with their helmets to collect donations.

 

• Drivers have offered donations all the way from nice lump sums to their winnings for the evening.

 

Why should the kids bring their parents to the event-Lots of KID stuff to do!

 

• “NICKEL SCRAMBLE” with 4000 nickels! On the front stretch of the track.  Going to go home with full pockets!

 

• CANDY DASH mixed in with the NICKEL SCRAMBLE.

 

• Inflatable SPACEWALK to play in.

 

• Cedar Rapids Police Department K-9 units will be there.

 

• Give-aways from local businesses.
